Hollywood Glamour, Opulent Italian Murano Art Glass Lamp. Vertical ribbed clear glass body with a white pearl like colored background with thousands of tiny flecks of gold. The whole lamp is glass. T is no other type of material that the lamp is attached to for a base. This is the intended design. The top and base being all glass makes this lamp so wonderful to view. The flared ribbed base has a thicker dose of gold flakes than the top body portion. Notice the solid glass girdle with gold flakes attaching the top portion and the base together. In the picture number 2 you can see a a circle that did not get the tiny gold flakes. I do not know if this is normal in the hand blowing process or not. T are a few other clear circles without gold dots (all different sizes but all smaller than the one shown in the picture) throughout the lamp in different places. I count 2 on the top portion. including the one in the picture and 3 much smaller ones on the base. T are not easily seen. Only if looking in the right directions. I am not an expert on this condition but wanted to mention. The glass is in Excellent condition. No chips, cracks, scratches, fleabites or repairs. The bottom base being glass is in excellent condition. Very smooth with no chips, cracks, nicks or fleabites. T is a place on the very top about an inch from the top rim that looks like the glass over dripped but, it is very minor and is not a crack. It feels smooth like a small overdrip. Measurements: Just the glass itself is 17" tall. The glass base from the bottom of the girdle is 4 1/4" tall. The top glass portion from th e top of the girdle is 12 1/2". The girdle itself is 1/2" or so wide. This totals a little over 17" but that is the best I can measure. The circumference at the widest of the lamp is 24 1/2". The base is 6 3/4" one way and 7" the other way at the widest. The base is 4" deep. This is the original hardware. The silver circular plate in the base in which the cord goes thru has rusted. The top portion is tarnished but , the finial is still the nice gold brass color. Replacement is possible. The lamp does work when plugged in. The bulb holder is a LEVITON Made in USA 250W 250V AMP HOLDER UL. It has a light switch/ knob. In the picture of the bottom you can see the MADE IN ITALY PAPER LABEL. It looks like t was a signature or handwriting on the second line but, the only thing I can sort of make out since it has faded over the years is maybe the capital letter B at the beginning of the word but, that is only my best guess.
