Hello. Bidding on a glamorous decorator era cabinet in the manner or Dorothy Draper. Two beveled door cabinet with huge carved gilt colored floral medallion handles. The cabinet is lacquered in a flat black color with a very light glossier black brush streak technique. It is a very subtle contrast. Brass hardware and gold accent lines. The interior of the cabinet has a shorter upper shelf than the depth of the interior of the cabinet. Also has 3 removable divider panels, and missing one. Was probably for organizing records. Manufactured by Lane.
Size: 29" tall x 36" w x 16" deep. In overall good vintage condition. Some scuffing and light scratching to the lacquer on top. Some more moderate scuffing and scratching on right side of cabinet when looking at it. Some gilt loss and wear to handles. Overall very presentable. If you choose to have us pack and ship, the cost shipping and handling would be $120 in the continental US going DHL Ground. $90 going Greyhound XPress. Please read carefully: is our policy on shipping. We generally encourage you to arrange, or have us arrange a secure form of shipping, notably blanket wrapped freight or professional pack and ship, as this has proven to be the safest and most reliable delivery method. In some cases we must send an item this way regardless based on size, weight, fragility, significance of value or volume of shipping we are involved in. In most instances we will end up absorbing some of the shipping costs to ensure it is shipped the proper way and allow us to maximize our time. We understand that it is also not always the most economical way, but if it is an item that you truly value, we would encourage you to go the extra expense to have it packed and shipped professionally. If we ship for you we generally use either DHL Ground or Greyhound for items under 100lbs. We prefer to ship larger items Greyhound, and in some cases, because of size, Greyhound may be the only option if we ship the item for you. We have found over the years that Greyhound is a little safer and cheaper for shipping larger items. They will also deliver door to door in some cities. Please call your local Greyhound Package Xpress if this is something you are interested in, and if it is an option in your location. Otherwise, you will need to pick it up at the terminal. PLEASE NOTE: the downside to shipping with Greyhound is they will only insure an item for up to $300. Please, specify which service (DHL or Greyhound) you desire if you have us ship the item. If an item is over 100lbs or is very large, you will need to arrange, or have us arrange for freight or professional pack and ship shipping. We would recommend Plycon. You can call them for a quote, or get a quote online from their website. You can also shop competitive quotes at . PLEASE NOTE: if you decide to have us ship or arrange to ship an item, we will apply insurance to the shipment w applicable, but will not take any responsibility for any lost or damaged items. We will file a damage claim on your behalf, but will not be held responsible for the outcome of the claim. Please understand that while rare, shipping accidents occasionally occur no matter what precautions are taken, especially with glass or marble items. In some instances conventional shippers will not insure glass or marble items, so please note this when bidding. We would strongly recommend that any item with fragile materials be shipped with a professional packing service or freight company. Please note our shipping policies as a stipulation for bidding. Also note: because of increased volume, please allow @ 2-3 weeks from payment for delivery. Also Note: No refund will be given, partial or full, unless an item has been significantly misrepresented. The items we deal in are vintage by nature, and commonly have the type of wear that you would associate with a vintage piece that has seen typical use over the years, including, but not limited to: light scratching, scuffing, minor edge bruising, some light finish wear, some staining and...
