Hollywood Regency Vintage Bench Chair 1960s Eames Era
Hollywood Regency bench with tufted blue velvet seating and the most unusual ornate metal legs. Legs are cast metal with a Moorish or Genie bottle shape that is not often seen. 1960s deluxe piece in excellent condition.This is a low bench type of seating that works well as an entryway piece, living room seating or to place at the foot of the bed. Uniquely made with eye to detail.
Strong and sturdy. Tufted upholstery with piping on the edges. This is about the deepest tufting you will ever see and it goes down almost 2" to the button. Very luxe. This is a medium blue with good nap to the fabric. Legs have a bulbous shape with tapered ends and dimensional design. These appear to be a cast pot metal fabrication and are hollow inside. Uniquely made legs will unscrew from the bench for economical shipping.
Measures 48" long, 17" wide, 14" high... this is low seating.
Condition is excellent. Possibly reupholstered as the fabric has no signs of wear. T is one light purple stain about the size of a quarter. T is also one tiny beige stain. Neither of these is distracting. We note a couple of the legs have a tiny separation in the metal which could very well be from the casting of the legs. This has no effect on the structure of the bench. T is still a bit of dust down deep in tufting as it is difficult to reach. We see the black netting fabric on the bottom has just a teeny sag to it. Overall, this is in outstanding condition.
Shipping within the US Mainland flat rate of 35.00. The legs will unscrew for shipping.
We ship with UPS Ground service. Insurance is included at no additional charge. Transit time to the East Coast is about one week but less if you are closer.
