Antique/vintage Holophane light from Goodyear Zeppelin Company, Airdock, Akron, Ohio. This is one of the lights from the hanger that was used for the maintenence and painting of the zeppelins. The light takes two different kinds of bulbs to create a "true daylight" and the glass has a prismatic effect to also enhance the light. It's about 25 inches long and 13 inches wide, the larger glass piece is 10 inches tall and the other is 8 inches tall. The top is cast iron, the bottom is tin. This light is in very good condition, even has an original bulb in the one side. We got this light from a man who helped when they did some renovation to the building in the 1970's- replaced the lights. The light could be painted and wired for regular use as it's electric.
