This piece is a Holtzapffel ornamental turning slide rest in good condition. No wear in the screw, little surface rust on screws. Looks like circa 1820 pattern. Very nice and rare. Illustration from Holtz. book.
We have had this in our collection for 25/27 years with the other pieces and have decided to move them on. Also some may notice this item was listed up until last night.and then delisted. This is true. Someone tried to hi jack the auction by inserting a buy it now with their email and instructions. An alert ebayer informed me and we went from t Ebay took it off and informed me only way forward is to start listing from beginning again . So we go.
