Homer Laughlin Wells ENGLISH GARDEN Cottage Cup/Saucer We are listing several auctions this week in the hard to find Homer Laughlin Century shape English Garden pattern. The vellum glaze gives the pieces a creamy ivory look to the background-and cottage makes so chic. All pieces have the peacock Wells mark on back side. My book tells me the peacock represents the Wells vellum glaze used. Win more than one auction, and we can ship together to save you $$! This auction is for a cup and saucer in this pattern that has seen light use. T is light wear to platinum trim located on side and a little more to underside of cup handle that is only visible if turned upside down. Inside the cup very clean with just a few light gray lines of crazing barely noticeable against the yellow of the vellum glaze-so faint doesn't show on photo. T are no chips or cracks and no wear to mention on decal which is vibrant and not faded either. Green trim is very nice with just a couple small specks on green trim on cup barely worth mentioning. Saucer trim looks great and transfer on both pieces in nice and vibrant. No noticeable wear to decal-looks very nice. Saucer measures 5 3/4" across, and cup is 4 1/2" to handle. Very hard to find, ESPECIALLY in this nice of condition. Bid today, and remember our other auctions as mentioned.
