HOn3 Brass Denver, South Park & Pacific Mason-Bogie 4-6-6t #55. Produced in Japan for Balboa Scale Models 1965-1968. Runs Well The 'South Park' Line traversed a spider's web of Colorado's 19th Century mining towns, piercing the Rockies through Alpine Tunnel, one of the highest Rail tunnels in the United States. The Denver South Park & Pacific was incorporated in 1872, and lasted only until 1889, ultimately being absorbed into the Colorado & Southern. This handsome 4-6-6t represents a product of the Mason Locomotive works from the 1870's. It was originally delivered as #22 and named "Crested Butte". In this 'modernized' version, it represents the re-numbered loco around 1900. These Balboa 'Bogies' are NOT known for running well, but this example performs quite smoothly, with characteristic gear noise. It will benefit from basic maintenance as it has been dormant for many years. There do not appear to be any modifications to the original model. It does not show any signs of previous use. A moderate patina of tarnish covers much of the brass. The original box is missing, a suitable replacement will be provided. Don't miss out on this great little 19th century steam loco. It's a worthy addition to any HOn3 collection! Submit your bids. Shipping: Iship World-Wide. All shipments made within the “Lower 48” states are shipped via USPS
