HOOSIER type cabinet with flour bin, original, from Santa Fe, New Mexico. Circa is probably from 1940-1950. Slide cabinet doors on top; Flour bin compartment is all t Just lift up square lid and pour flour into box below. Top cabinet is secured to bottom cabinet with screws on the sides. Two drawers in bottom cabinet, and two slide doors. Top slide doors have been painted with New Mexico southwestern motif symbol. This cabinet including hardware is original as far as I can see. Color is white, faded, as if it has been in a kitchen with a wood stove, that has discolored it. Porcelain top is in great shape, no cuts, deep scrapes, very smooth and still has nice finish. Porcelain counter top does not slide out. The wood is probably pine. (It is NOT a hardwood like oak.) It is not cracked, broken or beaten up. Defects: Paint is discolored. The groove that the doors slide on (bottom cabinet) are quite stiff when you try to slide the door. Markings: On back, "White 400". Height: 68" and Width is 40". read more
