An authentic Hoosier Step Stool with two metal tags. . I believe this "Saves Steps" stool is circa 1930. The tread pads are missing, but this wonderful accent piece is structurally sound and in great shape. The top is flat, no warping. The stool appears to have two coats of paint, both of which are flaking off. This rare find measures 14 inches square on the top and is 25 inches high. Glad to answer questions or furnish more photos. The free listing tool. List your items fast and easy and manage your active items. I've added pictures to reflect what type of wood was used. I am not astute at wood identification. My guess is tha it is a birch top. I have not scraped the paint off any area to expose it. I leave the restoration or discovery to the winning bidder. I did not want to destroy the patina. Thanks, Jimordar
