Hope Creek Meteorite from Northstar Borough, near Fairbanks Alaska

It's a Beautiful, and Rarely availabe, Great Looking Specimen that is rarely availabe and only 1 of 4, Total, Meteorites from Alaska, and the only known Stone Amphoterite meteorite from Alaska.

This Great, Nice Looking Specimen weighs 4.7 grams

Nice brown color with lighter shades and gray with great clasts and a little metal.

I haven't seen much of Hope Creek since I purchased this many years ago!

Most of this meteorite is in private collections and museums.

LL6 Stone Amphoterite Very hard to find many LL6 meteorites at all.

Found in 1998 when a prospector was searching for gold in a stream and the First Alaskan Stony meteorite. No other stone meteorites are known to have been found from Alaska.

Comes in a clear square approximately 2" x 2 " x 11/16" specimen box as shown in the photos

Very little of this meteorite has been available to collectors since most of it is locked up in Private Collections, institutions and museums.

Very Good price for this nice specimen.

Due to its irregular shape, it's Approximately 22 mm at its longest on one side, approximately x 22 mm at its widest on one side, approximately x 4 mm at its thickest on one end and approximately 20 mm at its longest on the other side by approx. 18mm at its widest on the other side and 3.5 at its thickest on the other end, due to its irregular shape.

This is a beautiful meteorite...very nice, please see the pictures.

Payment is expected within 48 hours of the end of auction, please, so that I can get this well wrapped in bubble wrap and packaged and get it to the Post Office in enough time to get it shipped to you as quickly as possible. I live in downtown Chicago and don't have a car so I need to take two busses to the Post Office. I would greatly appreciate your cooperation. Thank you for looking at my auctions.

This is a very nice specimen, and displays very well!

Provenance: Includes my COA and I'll email my COA-Certificate of Authenticity/transfer of ownership information so you can print it on any type of paper or card you want and store it in your "Meteorite Collection" files. It also comes with the original COA from Rob Elliott from Fernlea Meteorites, which is from several years ago. T is a crease down the middle of the COA as you can see in the photo from w it was folded from when I received it in the box many years ago.
