Up for auction is a beautiful antique violin. The "Hopf" signature is stamped on the back. Please examine the photos to determine condition. This violin has a beautiful patina to it that only time can produce. It came with a great old coffin case (see photos). This would be great to study and enjoy, or restore and play! We've added three new photos: The first depicts a fissure at the base of the violin. The surface has a few others which are smaller than this one. The second photo shows the piece that holds the strings in position; this piece was missing in the initial photos. The third shows the spare peg included in the auction.
