Presented today is this GORGEOUS contemporary Hopi Kachina doll, depicting the beloved Crow Mother, by the young and highly talented Jacob Cook. Standing just shy of 15 inches tall, this beautiful figure is carved from a single piece of Cottonwood root (except for the feather crest). The figure depicts the Crow Mother standing in the sky, over a kiva, from which emerges a Crow Mother Kachina dancer, beautifully sculptured in Bas relief. As always, Jacob fills his subjects with reverent symbolism, and his work is always a reflection of a gental, loving respect. T are many personations which Jacob refuses to do, and i have noticed in working with him over this last year that his artistic sensibilities are drawn to what he perceives as the gentlest and most beneficent of the Kachina Spirits. This is a beautiful Kachina doll, start to finish, and the person lucky enough to win it will cherish it forever. It hardly needs to be stated in this case, but if the winner is unsatisfied for ANY reason, i will immediately return the full purchase price, including shipping.
