Hopi Most Famous Artist Charles Ami is from First Mesa(old Hopi Village)Northeastern arizona.The Screech Owl is another of the many birds that may appear during the Kiva Dances of the Powamu or before. He is not supposed to appear on Third Mesa nor Second, but this may be a case of 'very seldom' rather than 'never.'" One characteristic of the Owl is that of a messenger. He comes to warn the village and to call them to repentance. Perhaps this is why he carries on that way with the clowns - as a symbol. He comes to warn them of the bad things that can happen if they are not living right. This One Piece Full Figure Screech Owl kachina is 8 in. x 2 in. wide.
