Outstanding Southwest Indian HOPI EAGLE KACHINA DOLL CIRCA 1930's-1940's. This is one of the best Kachina's I have had in my collection. Height is 21" which includes 1/2" round wooden base and 4" feather extenstion on the top of the head. Great old Green Yarn around the neck, Old Red Cloth on one arm, Great old bird feathers on the top of the head and on the arms. Hide Strings on the wrist and knee areas. Outstanding craftsmanship and painting. Colors are Turquoise, Red, Black, Yellow , Green and White. Painted lines are sharp and paint evenly applied. Bird feathers have great wing like pattern. Great wooden attachments on the back. It is signed on the bottom " Eagle Kachina-Johnny Ramos ". Has great balance on the base.
