's a beautiful "horn" lamp. It's been in the family for many years. We "inherited" it in 1989 from one of our parents households that had been decorated in the 1970's. Every time our parents moved, they re-decorated everything ... and they had exquisite taste! I have looked endlessly for a stamp, seal, or hallmark, but cannot find one. I believe the reason is that it was re-wired (new 3-way and plug) and so the hallmark may have gone by way of the original socket. I almost pulled back the green felt base, but really... why? Most decorators and collectors know this lamp.The lamp itself is quite heavy, close to 8 pounds (without the shade). I measured: -29 inches from top of finial to base of lamp. -10 inches in length for the shade - 23 inch circumference at shade top. -46 inch circumference at shade bottom. It's a very sturdy lamp. The shade is clearly vintage and in pretty good shape for an old gal. T's one tiny "crackle issue" on the outer black part -that is not a hole, but was covered with a dot or two of black ink to blend -very minor. The inside of the shade is wild.. . it's almost leopard-like. I took a photo to give a sense of it. I almost did not offer the shade as part of this sale, with shipping and all...
