Hornby 00 Ltd Edn A1Gladiateur LNER Green DCC Ready mint condition bargain ex set This loco has come from a Hornby Limited Edition R 2598M Queen of Scots train pack (Set 27 of 1500). This is one of the top range loco’s from Hornby with the latest 5 pole motor driving the engine wheels – the loco features truly exceptional detailing with scale and blackened valvegear, a fully detailed cab, opening cab roof vents, sprung buffers, finescale handrails and a multitude of other detail. The loco is in absolutely mint condition, the front steps and optional front three link coupling have been fitted as have the brake rods and vacuum pipes to the loco and the tender. The loco is supplied with a sleeve and fitting instructions in sealed bag for a DCC chip the loco is DCC ready with an 8 pin socket. The loco also comes with the optional flanged wheels for the cartazzi truck still in sealed bag. The Tender is the GNR version with the coal rails – very finely replicated on this model. There is no damage to this loco whatsoever, it has hardly been run at all and when tested ran smoothly and quietly in both directions across the full speed range – the loco coped easily with 8 coaches round my test track. I have another of these loco’s which I run on DCC and the smoothness of acceleration from a stop is outstanding as is the slow speed running over points - second to none! The loco will be supplied packed in part of the polystyrene shell from the original train pack, I will ensure that this lovely item is well packed for posting.
