This Hornby R294 Pacific Locomotive Walter K Whigham is truly MAGNIFICENT, all the more so because of the wonderful ( and very rare ) BR Experimental Blue Livery!! Please note that the actual colour is more Purple than the Blue that the Digipics show! Hornby have released very few Locomotives in this Livery - I believe only the A3's St. Frusquin and Tranquil, and the A4's Woodcock, Walter K Whigam and Merlin have been released in this Livery by Hornby. I have owned Walter K Whigham from BRAND NEW in 1996, having bought it from Hattons in Liverpool. R 249 Walter K Whigham was released by Hornby in 1995. My R294 is TOTALLY MINT, AS IS THE BOX, INSTRUCTION MANUAL, and the small sealed Accessory Bag. It has NEVER been Run OR Tested. The condition of the Box is unbelievable for a model of this age! Any collector would be proud to own this rare Locomotive! I am selling some of my "Pre" Super Detail Hornby Steam Locomotives to make way for the very latest Hornby and Bachmann A1, A2, A3 and A4 Class Steam Locomotives, most of which I have bought from AC Models in Eastleigh, Hants - a superb Model Shop! "Walter" is being replaced by the Hornby Limited Edition A4 Empire of India. This retails for between £120 and £140. I have a collection of over 200 Mint/Boxed British, German, and American Steam Locomotives in 00 and H0 Gauges, which are read more
