From the renowned Hornsea Pottery company that closed down some 15 years ago, in the year 2000. This fantastic Clappison classic Spice set in the Heirloom design. Designed by the reputable and outstanding John Clappison who sadly passed away in 2013. One of the rarest spice sets on E-Bay due to the size and condition of the pots.... Very , very rare for a few reasons. 1) With the actual names etched onto the pots. 2) All 6 x 4 inch high pots with same base stamp, all in great condition and from around 1969 / 1970. Curry, Marjoram, Sage, Thyme, Parsley & Mint. 3) A true set. 4) All with original lids, tight fitting and all with their original seals. 5) Original wooden rack. SUPERB example + Original wooden base in very good condition. Classic JC design from the late 60s, which is very collectable and clearly marked on the base with the Hornsea base stamp & England. A great example. In really great condition ( hardly used ??? ). You will find it hard to get a better example of this set............... One of the classic designs that seems to have re-invented Hornsea Pottery in the 1970s and make it so collectable to this day. Hornsea is very collectable and getting more sought after as the years go by. "You can buy with confidence, just look at my 100% positive feedback score of over 1750" Please look at my other read more
