HOROLOVAR FLYING PENDULUM CLOCK (IGNATZ) Your are bidding on a wonderfull peice that is truly a must have item that is the reproduction "IGNATZ", becoming a scarce, if not rare, heavily sought-after collector's prize. The original is a rare find dating back to 1885. This clock is a reproduction circa:1960. This time piece is in excellent condition with all the parts present except for a small decor ring that goes on the right side as you can see in the picture that is in place on the left side. This clock works and everything else is present and original. T is a little brass ball that is connected to a string that flies around one brass post and then unwinds to fly around the other on the opposite side. This process continues as the clock is running and keeping time. A very intersting clock to watch. On the front of the clock it says "Jerome & Co" Pat:) Oct 9th 1883". The back has on the plate HOROLOVAR & The Horolovar Co. Bronxville New York Made in Germany. The clock is rectangular in shape and is made of white wood stained mahogany. It sits on stamped brass feet and has a stamped brass decorative trim on the sides and front. The paper face has a 2 3/4 inch diameter chapter ring, black Arabic numerals and black steel hands. The polished brass bezel and sash are in their original condition. The round, flat glass is in excellent condition. The string and BB are also intact along with the arm still having its decorative trim as you can see in the picture. This item has been known to go for well over 200 dollars but I am starting this bid out for just 49.99 with NO RESERVE!!! Please feel free to email me with any question and I will try to answer them. I have done research on this piece and it is quite interesting. I do not have the original box or papers to go along with this item but it would make a great gift or a treat to have of your own!!
