HOROLOVAR FLYING PENDULUM CLOCK (IGNATZ)~ No Reserve If you collect unusual clocks, then you'll be sure to like this one! Even the instruction booklet that comes with it describes it as "The Craziest Clock in the World." This Horolovar Flying Pendulum Clock is a vintage reproduction of a novelty clock that was made by Jerome & Company, which later became the New Haven Clock Company. It comes in the original box with all of the original paper work. On the face of the clock is a patent date on face is Oct. 9 th 1883, but the Warranty card indicates that this clock was received as a Christmas gift in 1970. Height, including flying pendulum, is 10 ¼". The main rectangular body of the clock (wood) is 5 ½" x 6 ¼" x 2 5/8". The feet and decorative trim are made of stamped brass. The paper face has a 2 ¾" diameter chapter ring, t are black steel hands and black Roman numerals. T is a polished brass bezel surrounding the flat glass. I understand that this clock has a 30-hour movement. The little weight is not attached to the flying pendulum (t are two in a wax paper envelope inside of the instruction booklet), so the clock has not been tested as to its accuracy in time-keeping. It is in very good condition. T is a chip and a scratch/nick at the base, but they are not down to the bare wood, so they are not readily noticeable (perhaps someone became frustrated trying to adjust the clock?). For the clock collector or for anyone who would like a decorative conversation piece, this clock is sure to please ! We do our best to accurately describe the auction item and its condition.
