***Hot Bubblegum Pink Tourmaline*** ((( Exceptionally Formed Cluster ))) ~~ Superbly Lustrous ~~ * Minas Gerais * " Brazil " 4.4 cm. tall x 2.6 x 2.1 wide 1-3/4" x 1" x 3/4" inches 128.5 Carats - 25.7 Grams When I first saw this pink tourmaline cluster I almost started to drool... aside from the absolutely luscious color the exterior surface is wonderfully detailed and displays a smooth lustrous finish that in places equals high polished. The cluster consist of at least three large and two small crystals, and maybe a couple more depending upon how you sort it all out. Originally t was a matrix of sorts, but the crystal has been trimmed flat on the bottom and now sit's beautifully upright on it's own. A trivial amount of yellowish mineral, probably calcite, remains at the base on one side. Other than trimming the crystal is in pristine totally natural condition with no breakage, no mining or subsequent damage. The terminations may appear somewhat undefined and botryoidal due to an overgrowth of a clear to slightly yellow mineral that looks like additional calcite, but upon close observation the cluster does in fact have a series of multi level well defined terminations. In the final analysis the tourmaline is in nearly perfect gorgeous condition with great undamaged terminations and simply couldn't get much better. The color is a mouth watering shade of beautiful bubblegum pink, it has a fantastic luster, gemmy translucence, and overall I rate it totally bubblelicious.
