If you can hear a squishing sound, there is not enough oil. The sound is caused by air bubbles. If you cannot easily cycle the shaft in and out, there is too much oil. It is better to have not enough than too much. Too much oil will over pressurize your new shock, and cause damage to the seals. When the shocks are perfectly filled; releasing a fully compressed shock (without springs) shafts will pop out (under hydraulic pressure) on their own approximately 5mm. You'll know the pressure is even when all your shocks behave the same. The distance isn't as important as the evenness across your shocks. Tip: You'll find it's tedious to get all your shocks the same. Installing pairs of similarly bled shocks on opposite sides of your model will help keep you handling balanced.
