Hotel Vendome Booklet - San Jose, California CA - c. 1915 Published - c. 1915 Publisher - Press of W. G. Bohannan Company - San Jose Pages - 24 plus covers Size - 3.375" x 6.25" Color - Red covers w/ White & Black printing and White pages w/ Black printing and pictures Condition - Very Good to Fine w/ minor soiling & wear including 1.50" tear to opening of telescope and extending for 1.0" on other side of opening - it is still attached by another .75" of cover Special Notes - The fron cover has an opening in it that shows the moon that is printed on the second page. The cover design that includes the Lick Observatory on Mt. Hamilton on the back cover was designed by Melvin, Hillis & Black of San Jose.Some of the information contained indside and scenes pictured are as follows: Hotel Vendome is located in Santa Clara County and provides for Golf, Tennis, Bowling, Swimming, Wheeling, Automobiles, Riding, Driving, Croquet and Picturesque Walks. Some of the points of interest near Hotel Vendome are Alum Rock Park; the New Almaden Mines; Stanford University; Big Trees at Felton and at State Redwood Park; Interurban Electric Railway to Saratoga, Congress Springs and Los Gatos; Santa Clara Nission.
