Ihappen to live aboard a wonderful, 58ft all wood trawler and love every minute of it. Years ago I had quite a collection of some very serious antique, ships clocks. I have gotten back into the fancy lately and from time to time offer one of my clocks for sale. Do notice my perfect feedback record amassed over about 13 years. I’m not about to hand you the short end of the ‘stick’. Howard Miller clocks are, in my opinion, really nice clocks. As you can see, it has a nice, well-proportioned design and is well made. It features a high end German movement by Hermle. This movement can be found in Seth Thomas and other well-known clocks. The clock is a tad larger than most, it measures about 5.5” across the bezel and about 10.5” from one end of the helm to the other. It keeps very accurate time for a mechanical clock that it 36 years old. I opened it up and found that it was stamped with a date from 1975. The clock chimes ships bells as it should and has a great voice due in part to having an actual bell with a series of holes along the bottom of the case that allows more of the sound to escape. The tone is very pleasant. I must mention that the wooden stand does not go along with the clock. It is mounted on it for display purposes only. I will ship the clock to you in a medium sized Priority Mail box from the USPS for $10.95 to anywhere in America. Note that I put insurance on it, at my expense, to cover the price you paid and I do not charge a handling fee. If it arrives not working or damaged, etc. file a claim with the post office, not me. When it left my ownership, it was in perfect working order. I have the clock advertised at the Marina office and reserve the right to end the auction early after canceling all bids. You may email me directly at: or phone: from noon on. Thank you for reading this verbose text, I tend to waffle on a bit. Captain Mike De Long aboard the motor vessel ‘Covenant’ currently in Hampton Roads, Virginia. Hail fellow Ebayers. The key shown in the images is not the right on for this clock. I bought a new one from Ronell's Clock Company, it is a size four. For those of you who need clock related supplies, from a good, supplier without being ripped off I highly recommend them.
