Howard Pierce Porcelain California Pottery FAMILY OF FIVE 1950-1960's Howard Pierce began working in Southern California in 1936. In 1945, he opened a pottery in Claremont. He moved to Joshua Tree in 1968 and continued making pottery until 1991. Howard Pierce passed away in 1994. His inspirational designs came from family life and nature. His contemporary-looking figurines are popular with collectors. Though most pieces are marked with his name, smaller items from his sets often were not marked. Example of Authentic Howard Pierce Signature Below: This "Scarce" 1987 Howard Pierce Porcelain Figure depicts a Embraced Family. Father, Mother, Boy & Girl Toddlers and Infant in mothers arm. Beautiful two tone dapple brown glaze. This figure measures 11 1/4 inches in height and 5 inches wide at base. This piece has the Howard Pierce Ink Stamped, Date and Artist Signature on underside of figurine. It is in Mint Beautiful Condition. Any questions please email me. Thank You and Happy Bidding !
