HTF Hitchcock Watertown NY Mechanical Clock Work Oil Lamp Fan Motor Blows Great! UP FOR AUCTION A hard to find Hitchcock mechanical oil lamp. The lamp is a large table or parlor lamp form, special skirted burner, removable bowl, wind-up mechanical motor and fan that forces air onto the flame for a brighter chimneyless flame. Has the original guts and burner base. Lamp is ca. 1880s - 1890s, made by Hitchcock Clock and Lamp Company Watertown, NY. Tall lamp, measures about 12" tall to the top of the wick tube and 5 1/2" across at the foot. Compare with other items (Not Included!) in the last photo. Lamp is in good condition, for parts or restoration. The inner motor and fan wind up and work fine, runs quieter than most I have owned. The metal work has some thin dents, lots of age patina, and a split in the metal on the openwork of the foot. The top burner cone is missing, though it has regular #2 size threads and can be used as a normal flat wick burner & chimney lamp if desired. Hard to find Hitchcock mechanical lamp for collection, display, or to restore to use in your home!!
