HTF Mason's Pink/Red VISTA Mini Soup For 2 Tureen We are listing several auctions of Mason's Pink Transferware Ironstone VISTA pattern dishes this week from an estate. Most of the pieces have the Gadroon edge, but some of the serving pieces do not. T are several very hard to find and desirable pieces from this set. So make sure to check out all of our auctions. Win more than one auction, and we can ship together to save you $$! This auction is for a hard to find small tureen. It is a little too large to be a sauce boat and t is already a gravy boat in this pattern. My only conclusion is that it was meant for a smaller portion of soup than the larger tureen, and would probably be more useful. It would hold at least enough soup for two people and is a beautiful piece. The underplate measures 8 3/4" by 6 1/4" with some slightly darkened crazing that might come out with a half and half water bleach soaking if you wanted to try it. It isn't that noticeable as you can see in close up photo. Tureen itself has no darkening except for a couple minor moisture specks on inside-see photo. The underside of lid has some moisture specks on the unglazed 3 points w it sat on drying racks during manufacture, as does dry foot on bottom of piece. The lid looks fine from top.
