is a great large glazed stoneware canteen jug. About 1890s. 12 1/2" tall. 10" diameter body. 4" deep. The front says it all, "QQQ QUINN'S QUALITY QUANTITY/ RYE/ WHISKEY/ KANSAS CITY, MO/ Largest Mail Order Grocer and Liquor Merchant in the West." This could be quite rare in such a giant size. CONDITION : T are some rim flakes to the body and some loss in two spots on the base - the worst one can be seen in the photo. Hairline on side - see photo. Sounds worse than it looks. Displays nicely. Despite the condition, the unusual large size makes this a stand out piece for your collection. A note on damage: Stoneware was meant to be used. Most early examples show evidence of hard use. Minor flaws, chips, etc. are typical, and are relative to the rarity of the piece. SHIPPING : US buyers to pay for Priority Mail shipping PLUS INSURANCE. For overseas buyers, I will try to find best possible rates. I generally ship within 1-3 days after receiving cleared payment. PAYMENT : Paypal (up to $500), cashier's check, money order, personal check. Please note that personal checks may take up to 10 days to clear.
