Huge WW2 US Army 43rd Engineers Honor Roll Photo Certificate from Camp Robinson, Arkansas - 19 x 24 inchThis is a big, beautiful 1942 World War II ROLL OF HONOR photographic certificate from Company "E" 43rd Engineers, General Service Regiment of Camp Joseph T. Robinson in Arkansas. The original 19 x 24 inch certificate is bordered by very campy and not quite truthful photographs of the equipment the engineers were using in 1941 and 1942, as well as pictures of all the Presidents of the United States draped in flags with an eagle and a shield. We know there never was a plane that transported tanks such as the one depicted in the lower right corner of the certificate. It is also interesting that the Midget Car troops are not riding in GP, MA, BRC, MB or GPW jeeps but rather in earlier prototype vehicles, perhaps Bantams, but certainly not Ford or Willys jeeps. There are also photos of Mechanical Cavalry men on motorcycles, Parachute Troops, Cavalry Combat tanks, Infantry riding in big open truck-like vehicles of some kind, an Army Hospital plane, etc., etc.The name of one soldier is handwritten in pencil at the center of the bottom in the SOLDIER'S RECORD area. The name is Jim Big Crow and he is also listed above among the Privates and was from Pine Ridge, South Dakota on the Pine Ridge Sioux Indian Reservation. We found this certificate read more
