A marvellous pair of staffordshire style dogs on an enormous scale. Each measures over 13 inches tall and would, I imagine, have been intended for a massive mantel, or perhaps more sensibly a sideboard or hearth. Unsure of age, since there is no date mark, though the glaze is attractively crazed as an indicator of age. The condition is superb and the colouring vibrant. A really good fun pair of mantel dogs on an epic scale and the perfect present for any dog lover, particularly a spaniel fanatic!
