One-of-a-kind fantastic, enormous, long-pile mohair rabbit with straw filling. Measuring an imposing and impressive 40" high, this rabbit is truly a head-turning focal point at Easter time. He was perhaps a store display originally, given his size. There are no tags but was probably made in Germany. Condition issues: mohair is worn away here and there. I have tried to photograph it as completely as possible. Please examine the photos and zoom. Under the arms the fur is open on each side, exposing the straw. It has been like this for years and is stable, but he cannot be lifted by his arms. These openings are only noticeable if the rabbit is lifted up and examined. One ear has an opening along a seam, exposing the wire frame. This could be stitched up by someone with a delicate hand with needle and thread. I mention all of these issues for full disclosure but none detract from the beauty and presence of this rare piece. There is still time to get it before Easter.
