Offered is an amazingly prepped example of Drotops megalomanicus from the Devonian limestone deposits of the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. The trilobite measures 5.5+ inches and has been meticulously prepped free standing on a pedistal of limestone. The underside of the cephalon has been prepped to expose the trilobites hypostoma. The jet black trilobite contrasts wonderfully with its gray limestone matrix. As you can see from the photos the cephalon, thorax and pygidium are covered with pustules. The multi-faceted eyes are displayed nicely. I will begin bidding at $150. with no reserve. Have fun bidding!!
