Hi Folks & Thanks for Stopping by Sarona Jewel's Gifts & Glass! For your consideration is a HUGE whopping 6 lbs. of solid glass, highly collectible Jadeite Glass Bulldog Doorstop. This giant is amazing! He measures approximately 6 1/2" tall and is a hefty fellow. One never thinks how much 6 lbs. really is until you are holding one of these buggers! This particular Jadeite Bulldog was a limited edition piece and he is etched on the bottom, "36/140 05". I am unsure of who owns this amazing mould now. I believe this was an original Tiffin Mould. Westmoreland aquired it & used it in their line but have long gone out of business. I've researched and haven't had much luck in finding out w the mould is now. This is what I've been told (please....if you know this to be different or have any additional information, please let me know). Apparently, it was purchased from Westmoreland by a private collector and he had a variety of Bull Dogs made in an array of marvelous colors. He since passed away and it is my understanding these will not be made again. From t, I do not know w the mould is, or if has been destroyed. *Fingers Crossed*, someone has this mould in their possession, loves these pups as much as I do and will continue to make them. If you've never had, seen or held one of these Bull Dogs, you're definately in for a real treat! He'll be a perfect addition to any collection & very possibly one of your favorite pieces :).
