It has been cut in half and polished to show the internal chambers, often filled with calcite crystals. The outside surface can grade from a pearly luster to showing the suture pattern under it. Often, the matrix remaining in the center outside spiral can be scraped out. Some of these also have hollow chambers lined with crystals. These make great display items and would make a nice addition to anyones collection. The very small ones can also be used to make jewelry. You can find more of these in our eBay store .
