~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~W O W~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The auction you are viewing is for an incredible and very rare Italian Tole 1920's chandelier! This beauty was removed from a sprawling estate in Naples, Florida and I knew I had to have it. This wonderful example of Italian art is signed Italy inside of the original ceiling canopy. It is by far one of the most unique and spectacular pieces I have come across in a long time. This awesome chandelier measures 23 inches across at the widest point and stands a majestic 26 inches tall. Each of the 8 arms is graced with scrolling palm leaves, a large crystal centered flower and the coolest squiggley spirals adorned with round baubles. The candle lights are in the shape of flowers too! While I did my best to capture the beauty of this piece in my photos, it is far better in real life. The center of the fixture is a bundled group of palm leaves tied up with the signature Italian rope. This fabulous tole chandelier appears to have been painted at some point in time. It has the perfect amount of chippy paint. In the pictures you can see w a bit of the paint has come off of the pink and blue painted flowers revealing the crystals underneath. It has a wonderful center hanging finial on the bottom. It is a cluster of three flowers hanging from a rope. It could also be repainted to match your decor. It could go with any decorating style, shabby (as is) or regal. I can picture painting the whole piece black, bringing the crystals back to the original clear and using gold leaf on the baubles for an outstanding contemporary look. This piece will definitely need to be rewired as it still has the original old fabric wiring and it is worn. The candle covers are a bit cracked, but still look pretty cool! If you want a masterpiece for your home or office that will bring lots of attention, this is the one for you! I have placed a $250.00 reserve on this auction! Please check my feedback!
