Huge Antique Silver Tennis Trophy Vintage Loving Cup Up for sale is a great piece of tennis memorabilia. This huge antique tennis trophy from the 1930âe(tm)s was manufactured by Wallace Brothers Silver, one of America âe(tm)s premier silversmiths. This is a perpetual trophy was given by the Omaha Tennis Club to the menâe(tm)s singles champion. T are 13 winners dating from 1930 through 1941. I found many references when researching the names on this trophy including the fact that the 1938 winner Gayle Kellogg went on to appear in over 30 movies and TV shows after his tennis career. T are no marks, but I believe it is silver plated. This trophy saw a lot of celebrations and it shows. It stands straight for a trophy thatâe(tm)s almost 80 years old, but t is a fair amount of plate loss and dings and dents to the body, base, and rim. Trophy Details Dimensions Height: 14.5" inches Width: 6.5" inches Weight: Heavy at 3+ pounds The trophy has a good deal of detailing/engraving around the body, base and rim. The front has a 2 ½âe x 2 1/4âe medallion of two crossed tennis rackets and balls. Below that the names of the winners are engraved from 1930 through 1938; with the winners from 1939 through 1941.
