HUGE Antique Vintage German Meerschaum Pipe RAGOCZY. Pipe is 14.5" long (37cm). A very large ragoczy at over 5" tall and over 6" in circumference! This HEAVY and MASSIVE pipe bowl weighs 10 ounces by itself! The patina is just FANTASTIC - one of the most RICH and FIERY patinas I have ever seen on a lap pipe. The antique owner who smoked this pipe got his money's worth out of it! The pipe is SIGNED with two marks on the silver rim. The shank is solid silver as well though the windcap is an antique replacement of pot metal. The push stem is made of cherry wood with horn mouthpiece and fabric hose ferrule. Pipe dates to circa 1850 (1840-1860). Pipe has old antique hairlines and flakes to the base, probably caused by the original antique owner from tapping and setting it down all the years of use.
