Original Art Deco c1930 double solitaire Old European Cut Diamonds with 9mm Ocean Pearls in 18k and Platinum! These are magnificent earrings the highest quality. These handmade antique earrings will definately NOT go unnoticed. The large Old European Cut Diamonds have small high tables and medium culets are approximately 6mm each about .85ct each super white G/H color and eyeclean SI-1 the smaller Old European Cut diamonds are also G/H color and about .10ct each. All of the diamonds are set in platinum and are natural untreated unenhanced mined from the earth diamonds.The massive 9mm early cultured Ocean Pearls are absolutely gorgeous beautifully matched in size and color and are smooth with few blemishes creamy white with golden overtones. These earrings look absolutely beautiful on and are securely fastened with bar and post and snap back catch fastener. The earrings measure 9mm wide which is just over 1/3inch and 19mm long which is about 3/4 of an inch. They do not tip or droop when worn being very finely made with good balance. My jeweler stated these would easily retail upwards of 8500. at an antique jewelry shop. Ocean pearls are early cultured salt water pearls from the time before huge production salt water bed pearls were made like modern day cultured pearls. Ocean pearls were produced by gathering wild Oysters and culturing them with a seed pearl then the oysters were placed in huge nets in the sea for many years large pearls of 9mm were rare and are quite valuable far more so than modern 9mm cultured pearls..they have super thick nacre are very round and with few natural blemishes.
