**HUGE** C1930 ANTIQUE 14K ROLLED GOLD OVAL AMETHYST PENDANT- NR This is a STUNNING Antique 14K Rolled Gold Amethyst Drop Pendant. and is bezel set with a beautiful faceted Amethyst stone which is about 30 CARATS..in an oval shape.. truly BREATHTAKING This is in fabulous condition..and is in a Teardrop shape with fine beading and Repousse Scroll carvings..... so striking in contrast with the pretty stone and really is visually stunning...It also includes a LONG 14K ROLLED GOLD ROPE CHAIN that measures approx 24" long HISTORY It is Circa 1930 by design and styling . It has charm and elegance from times gone by..... It is stamped 14K ROLLED GOLD on the chain link. but the pendant isnt stamped but is original to the chain.. antique quality Rolled Gold items such as this are said to be equivalent to todays low karat gold and wears just the same.. , These large Dangle or Drop pendants such as this are Highly sought after and are very collectable. It has that patina so typical of quality antique gold jewelry...and has been in my jewelry collection for many years and has never been polished and is so sparkly and shiny... DESCRIPTION & SIZING The pendant measures 3" in length including the tassle by 1 1/4" in width, and the beautiful faceted stone is a gorgeous purple shade and is approx 30 carats.. !! A HUGE amethyst...in gorgeous condition and sure to please. The stone is Oval and is bezel set in a raised setting and this is flanked by tiny beading work with filigree work consisting of REPOUSSE flowers in the four corners. I was advised this is a genuine Amethyst but as I am not a gemologist I have no way of ascertaining if it is genuine but I have no reason to doubt its authenticity as under a loupe it has occlusions which usually denotes a true gemstone. This in on a STUNNING heavy 14K Rolled Gold Rope Chain necklace.. and the total weighs approx 30 grams which further adds to its appeal ! The setting is a beautiful antique gold color..that buttery hue with a hint of rose gold..unlike the brassy gold of today.. This is a must for the Amethyst collector The photos do NOT reflect the absolute exquisite and detailed nature of this piece..and I couldnt get a true shot of the antique gold color in the setting... nor the glitter of stone.... The photos do not do this beautiful heirloom piece justice at all !.. . Please check my feedback so that you may feel confident bidding with me.
