HUGE Vintage Chelsea Shipstrike ships bell clock. Solid forged brass hinged bezel case, polished and lacquered. Case is in mint condition, the hinged bezel and push-button latch work flawlessly. Jeweled movement has been recently serviced and keeps precise time over 8 days, and strikes the "ship's bell" sequence correctly. Rich, deep sounding chime from the heavy coiled gong inside the case. 6 inch dial is perfect, no scratches, no wear. Has a lever between 10 and 11 o'clock to silence the chimes if you want, and a lever between 12 and 1 o'clock to adjust the speed (f/s). Hard to believe that this clock is over 10 years old. Case measures 7 1/2 inches across the back and 4 inches deep. Very heavy clock, weighing about 8 pounds. A proper winding key is included.
