Hi Ebayers. I bought this intending to harvest the NATURAL BLUE ZIRCONS for some earrings I want to make with blue sapphires and diamonds. I'm a jewelaholic, a passionate collector since age 10. Started designing stuff awhile back for fun. So I didn't pay attention to the TRANSITIONAL CUT DIAMOND, 1.42 CARAT (!!!), thinking my niece in New York would want it for her line of custom made wedding rings. However, I don't have the heart to destroy this work of art. It's one hundred years old. The diamond, which I was ignoring, is out of this world. It is classified as an H-I I-1, but I don't see carbon, just a small cloudy area to one side. It's lovely, huge, and one of the great old cuts everybody wants these days. The gallery looks like a wonderful bridge, and the design goes down to almost the bottom of the ring. It's exceptionally large, particularly for that period (likely custom made for some large gal) size 8, but can be made smaller. Not only does it not fit me, but my hands are getting old. I have to enjoy big, bold designs that call attention to the piece and not my hands. All the more reason to get earrings, in my case. Anyway, I gasped when I saw the blue zircons. Some of you may not know how unusual they are, and this is the most desirable cornflower blue, and they're clear, clear, clear, one full carat each. Sparkly all the way, all three stones. Brilliant old-cut stones on the sides, about .15 carat total. I have no business cutting this up. Are you getting married? Want a killer vintage ring? I will continue my quest for blue zircons, though I rarely see anything this good. 5.4 grams on my scale.
Shipping to Canada OK with $15 extra.
