ENORMOUS BLACK FOREST CARVED COAT OF ARMS
I am in the process of thinning out my Black Forest collection. I have acquired most of my collection from many trips to southern Germany and Austria. Please see my other listings for more quality Black Forest items. This listing features an incredible wall hanging coat of arms. The carving is that of the early master carvers. The workmanship speaks for itself. This piece measures a huge two feet, 2 1/2 inches high, nearly a foot wide, and 2 1/2 inches deep. The entire carving was done from one piece of wood! As shown in the photographs, the carving depicts a large lion crest on the right side with a fish wearing a crown on the left. The top features a magnificent angel - putti that is truly eye catching. Not many of these hit the market! We are listing this item with a .99 cents opening bid, with no reserve. High bidder gets the deal. Fantastic addition to any Black Forest collection.
