I purchased this lot at a local auction with the idea I would sort through and sell them separately. But I found it to be too overwhelming. I am sure t are people that would actually enjoy sorting through and researching through all of this, so I decided to just put everything together and let it go. These items belonged to railroad enthusiast and author named Bill Fries he wrote a book about railroads. It includes hundreds of railroad photos mostly reprints but many originals,many negatives a lot of which are identified and put into envelopes, postcards, calendars 1970's-1990's, letters,railroad passes, pamphlets and other miscellaneous items. I think the majority of items are from the northeast but it includes railroads from all over the U.S. and even some from Canada. T are at least 200 negatives, I do not know how to tell if they are original, but I would assume most are not original.
