Modular Shelving System Up for auction is a huge and fantastic modular shelving unit from the '70s. It consists of a series of glossy black PP plastic tops/sides -- in two different lengths -- that are joined by white PP plastic connectors in two shapes -- "L" and "T." The connectors simply slide tightly into the hollow black sections to create sturdy bookshelves, storage units, display shelving, etc., without the need for any tools. Tons of possibilities for vertical and horizontal use! Included in this auction are 13 long black pieces (each 16.5 inches by 7 inches), 19 short black pieces (each 11.5 inches by 7 inches), 12 L-shaped connectors, and 12 T-shaped connectors. The second photo below shows all of the pieces in action -- we were able to create two bookshelves (each 53.5 inches in height) and a separate cube, and t were still two black pieces left over! This set is unmarked, and so the designer and manufacturer are unknown. Condition is very good; t are no chips or cracks, just some expected use-appropriate surface wear (from resting on the floor and from books being slid in and out of the shelves). Four of the 24 end caps are missing from the white connectors (they tend to pop out during assembly), but obviously you can simply turn those ends toward the wall and you'll never know they're gone. Buyers within the U.S. will pay $40 for shipping (insurance and/or international shipping will be more) -- this set is heavy! Payment is due within SEVEN days of auction close.
