HUGE NELSON POTTERY STAFFS BUTCHERS HEREFORD BULL & HEAD COLLAR c 1950's MINT Huge Nelson Pottery Butchers shop Hereford bull, with original leather head collar, chain etc. Nelson Pottery Staffordshire was established in 1985 but this particular piece dates from c 1950's when these huge bulls were used in butcher's shops as display items. It is pretty much identical to the Melba Ware Butchers shop bull and I am sure that they must have been made from the same moulds. This is very impressive piece and these are getting harder to find - especially with the head collar in such good condition. Has very minor age related crazing otherwise in excellent condition with no damage or restoration !. Height 10 1/2", length 16 1/2" or 42cm.
