These Waterford Footed CANDLESTICKS OR CANDLE HOLDERS were handmade in Ireland, from the purest crystal . Each is acid etched with the Waterford name .
Each piece of Waterford is inspected by hand an average of 4 times. No two pieces of Waterford Crystal look exactly alike
These footed beauties are approx. 8" tall with 4" diameter base . T he crystal part , the light reflects beautifully through pattern of exceptional beauty . This Irish crystal is beautifully cut - even to the bottom of the stems.No chips, cracks - in excellent perfect condition.
Most crystal companies use 24% lead crystal, while Waterford uses 33% lead crystal. This is what makes Waterford products weigh more & have that special brilliance which makes it "head & shoulders" above the rest.
The Lismore pattern is Waterford's best selling pattern . This pattern was introduced on October 23, 1952 and was created by Mirek Havel . It is, indeed, a classic . It is used for stemware, vases, plates, bowls, cutlery handles, etc . Besides being Waterford's 1st modern Director of Design , Mr. Havel was one of the original people to reopen Waterford Crystal in 1947 . It had been closed since 1847. He originally came to Ireland for 3 months. He stayed with Waterford for over 30 years; helping to shape & guide Waterford Crystal into the company it is today.
