A beautiful large heavy Persian/ Iranian silver candelabra. It is marked with the Persian silver standard markand another mark most likely the maker - see photo. I would date it to the early to mid 20 th century being a similar in design to English examples of c1930-1940. It has been beautifully hand made having ornate arms and being embossed and engraved with geometric patterns. Each of the three sconces unscrews for ease of cleaning. It is in perfect condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs. It is made from thick gauge silver and as such weighs a very impressive 19.9 troy ounces (618 grams) - note this is the total silver weight i.e. it is not filled or weighted in any way. It measures 12.75 inches (32.5cms) wide by a touch under 8.75 inches (22cms). A beautifully made rare impressive piece.
