This is a 1960s era French Poster advertising small electric radios. The poster is HUMONGOUS.
It is in fantastic shape for its age and size. It has some tears and water marks but the color is wonderful. Really a fantastic poster. 63 x 57 inches. That's 5.25 x 4.75 FEET. It's a monster! Schneider Electric is a French global company. It was founded in 1836 by two brothers, Joseph and Adolphe Schneider, who took over a troubled foundry at Le Creusot . They initially started working on weapons and armaments, but in 1891 they began to exploit the new electricity market.In the first part of the 20th century, Schneider associated itself with Westinghouse Systems who were a major international electrical group at the time. The group began manufacturing electric motors and locomotives. After the Second World War , the armaments businesses were abandoned in favor of electrical engineering, and iron and steel works.
