You collectors will want to check out our other auctions . Thanks for Looking. Description This is a massive archive of 128 Rare, Vintage, Handwritten World War II letters/correspondence. These wonderful old pieces have Great, Vintage designs, all come in their Original, Stamped, Postmarked envelopes, were all sent between US Army Air Force soldier Harry V. Cole & his War Bride in Dundee, Scotland, are all from the World War II era and would be a wonderful addition to any collection. Cole was stationed with the 1409th AAF Base Unit at Met at RAF Metfield in England. After the war, Cole and his bride settled in Mill Run, PA. The 1409th Army Air Force Base Unit was a classified unit engaged in clandestine transport operations, flying special materials and ferrying personnel. The 1409th operated from Metfield until the end of the war and operated B-24s, as well as C-47s and C-54s. The unit also used RAF Leuchars in Scotland as an advanced base. Anything regarding this classified Unit is quite Rare to Find. These are all fresh out of an estate and are being sold Unread, as found. They may include some great, historically important content.
