TABRIZ - The dominant city of Northwest Iran/Persia and is the second largest city in Iran. Tabriz has been a center of the Persian carpet trade for hundreds and perhaps thousands of years. Tabriz carpets are symmetrically knotted. Quality spans all grades from Bazaar quality all the way up to some of the best rugs woven in Iran.

Offered is a rare masterpiece, a genuine handwoven Persian Tabriz carpet in the classic design of the original Tabriz sought by collectors. The medallion which seems to float above the open red field in the center of this rug is truly gorgeous and is perfectly balanced by the four different bands used in the corners. Most popular large exact size of 9'5" x 12'6" with KSPI of 70 knots of 100% lustrous wool pile on cotton foundation. The weaver has used many distinct, spectacular & meticulously selected colors that combine in perfect symphony to give you a stunning perspective of art. The condition is very good for it's age with even pile throughout, no holes, repairs, moth or odor. It is a very sturdy and pliable rug and lies perfectly flat. Compare to the brick and mortar store's offering (if they even have one) at $8220.00 . This heirloom carpet has grace and elegance and will bring personality and charm to any location.
